NYC trip

I thought I'd post a finished illustration for a change. wowzers!


I did this for one of my last projects for spring quarter. For this class we took a trip to NYC and went to the society of Illustrators, illustration house, and a bunch of galleries. We met the founder of illustration house and it was really cool, but the guy was so old and frail we were afraid he was going to drop the illustrations! They had a bunch of Cream of Wheat art left over from a past auction they had, and the next show was going to be comic art.

One thing he said was actually kind of sad, he was talking about how more and more illustrators are now using digital media, and how that means there aren't any original pieces of the art only prints, so he doesn't know what he's going to hang up anymore. It kind of makes you want to stop working digitally..
